Gulf Harbors has its own beautiful sandy beach right on the Gulf of Mexico. This is a private and gated area. There are cabana shelters with picnic tables, BBQ grills, and restrooms with showers. The 
beach is a short walk or bike ride from most of the homes in Gulf Harbors. This is a deed restricted community with an active home owners association. To have access to the private beach, the annual fee is less than $200 at the time of this writing. Gulf Harbors and its sister communities, the Woodlands, Sea Forest, Sea Colony, Egrets Place and Harbor Colony are deed restricted.
There is also Gulf Harbors Yacht Club. While you don’t have to live in Gulf Harbors, or for that matter own a boat, it is a crown jewel of the area. Membership is reasonable and the views are amazing! Activities abound all around Gulf Harbors. There is also the Gulf Harbors Civic association which maintains 2 boat ramps. They have a social building with different functions. The membership for this fun organization is $100 per year
